Pittsburgh, July 10, 2007 - The medSage Data Transfer Client, automated version, is now available to all medSage customers.  The client can be tailored to your system and may be custom configured to meet special needs.  A Microsoft Vista version is scheduled for November 30, 2007.

The medSage Data Transfer Client, automated version, is a software package that uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to send customer data to the medSage Patient Management system.  The Client can be used with most billing systems.  If the billing system allows a direct connection to its data (e.g., via ODBC) the client can operate in automatic mode and send data at regular intervals in an unattended fashion.  Other systems can be used in conjunction with standard reports to send data in manual mode.

Even when operating automatically, the manual mode can be used to send special data updates.

Microsoft Software Requirements
The medSage Data Transfer Client uses Microsoft Access 2000 or newer as a database for temporary storage during data filtering and transformation.  The client is tested and operates most efficiently with Microsoft Office 2007.  The Client requires a workstation or server running Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows 2003 Server that is connected to the Internet and has access to the customer billing system.
